Why Do This - Is It
Important To God?

Every week, volunteers leave their families, drive to remote areas, and meet with men in prisons. Are they crazy—or just bored at home? No.

In the closing chapters of the Gospels, Jesus gave His final commands: go and make disciples and feed My sheep.”

That’s why volunteers do this — they go and make disciples and feed His sheep — because it matters to God, and it’s what He’s called us to do.

God Calls Believers To Love Through Actions

Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are suffering as if you yourselves were suffering.” — Hebrews 13:3

Prisoners, often overlooked, are among the neighbors Jesus calls us to love.

Malachi Dads reminds those behind bars their worth is not defined by their past mistakes, but by God’s grace.

Let Your Light Shine

Then Jesus said, A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light will shine.”Mark 4:21

Going into prisons shines God’s light into the darkest corners behind prison walls — where it’s needed the most.

Scatter the Seeds — God Will Do the Rest

Jesus said, “The Kingdom of God is like a farmer who scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, while he is asleep or awake, the seed sprouts and grows, but he does not understand how it happens.”Mark 4:26–27

Transformation is God’s work. We just scatter seeds and let God make them grow.

If there’s a desire stirring in your heart to share God’s love, don’t overthink it.

Just go. Scatter the seeds. God will do the rest.

Faith In Action

Serving in a ministry—like Malachi Dads—shapes not only the lives you touch but also the lives within your own family.

When your children and grandchildren see you serve, they learn what love in action truly looks like.

Your example shows them the kind of father, grandfather, and follower of Christ that God calls us to be.

On The Row —You Don't Grow

At some point, God calls us to take a step beyond comfort. Sitting in a row on Sunday is good — but it’s not where our faith grows most.

Faith deepens when we get up, step out, and serve others. As a Malachi Dads volunteer, you’ll grow in faith and in your walk with God.

Not everyone can physically go into prisons — and that’s okay. You can still help by praying, encouraging, recruiting, or giving.

The important thing is to move beyond the row — and grow in what God is doing.
