Celebrate What God is Doing
These are just a few of the many amazing things God has done this year.
GOD OPENED THE DOOR AT MEMORIAL MAXIMUM SECURITY PRISON
For years, we hoped to begin ministry at Memorial, but the door was not open.
There were not enough volunteers, no funding, and no available time slot.
It simply wasn’t possible —
until God moved.
Then, just before our new season began, the Chaplain called.
A large program that held the prime Tuesday night slot had unexpectedly canceled.
She asked,
“Do you want their time?”
By faith, we said yes —
trusting that if God opens the door, He will provide everything needed.
And He did.
Volunteers stepped forward. Resources came together.
Over 70 inmates immediately signed up.
And God moved — powerfully, unmistakably, undeniably —
as He always does.
God opened a door we could never have opened ourselves.
GOD MULTIPLIED HIS WORK IN A GREAT WAY
This is not strategy.
This is the Spirit.
Last year, we were ministering in 3 prisons each week, walking with about 120 men.
At the end of the year, our volunteers prayed and said,
“God can do more.”
We set a faith goal to add
two more units, even though we did not have the volunteers, the funding, or the resources to do it.
The door was closed —
but God was not done.
Then the Spirit began to move.
Volunteers caught a first-century zeal, wearing their Malachi Dads shirts to church they recruited more volunteers.
Pastors shared the vision.
Donations and new volunteers came at the exact moments they were needed.
And prison doors opened
that we could not have opened ourselves.
As the year began,
God added two additional units — and then, unexpectedly,
a trustee camp as well.
We suddenly found ourselves ministering in 6 facilities — even more than we prayed for.
This Year at a Glance
• 230+ men participating weekly
• 30+ small groups meeting each week
• 60+ volunteers from 11 churches
• Entirely volunteer-led, sustained by prayer, unity, and faith
The inmates look forward
to our gatherings.
Testimonies overflow.
Families are being restored.
Hope is returning.
The gospel is bearing fruit
behind walls no human could open.
God guides. God provides.
We scatter the seeds.
God brings the harvest.
MOVIE NIGHT CELEBRATION – BROTHERS IN CHRIST TOGETHER
A simple idea was approved — and became an event we had never done before.
For the first time, our Malachi Dads small group families gathered inside a prison
for a Movie Night —
with popcorn, conversation, encouragement, and meaningful family time.
The men watched Jesus Revolution — a film about revival, redemption,
and God reaching those whom many have overlooked.
Many said they saw their own stories reflected in the lives shown on the screen.
God is moving in places
the world has forgotten —
and He is awakening hearts
behind prison walls.
Praise the Lord.
A BEAUTIFUL EVENING AT THE PODIUM
Something seemingly small
revealed the greatness of God.
One of our inmate brothers,
who has been confined to a wheelchair for the entire two years he has been in our program, rolled himself to the front.
With trembling arms,
he slowly pulled himself to his feet,
gripping the sides of the podium.
With a shaking body —
but a steadfast and burning heart
— he declared:
“I will stand for Jesus.
I will declare His glory.”
The room grew quiet.
Some wiped tears.
Others nodded with encouragement.
There was a shared awareness
that God was present and working.
God’s Spirit is so sweet,
so strong, and so loving.
Amen.
GRADUATION CELEBRATION – IN ALL 5 PRISONS
What began as a hope and a prayer has now become reality.
For the first time in our program, prisons have opened their doors
for graduating men to
invite two family members
to attend their Malachi Dad graduation.
One father will be reunited
with a family member
flying in from Spain
just to witness his transformation.
After the ceremony, graduates and their families will sit together for a Family Fellowship Meal —
sharing stories, moments of healing,
and renewed hope.
This is what Malachi Dads is all about.
To God be the glory. Hallelujah.
